So. A few weeks ago I'm walking through London on my way home and I stumble across Sister Ray records in Berwick street. What caught my eye in particular was a copy of Clapton Unplugged they had in the window. It was a 180gram special released for record store day. It was all pretty embarrassing really, before I knew what was happening I tripped up and in through there front door. I took my hand out of my pocket and money came flying out, and twenty seconds later I left with a big smile on my face and some shiny new vinyl!
This is an important album for me because it was through listening to it that I decided to pick up the guitar again about ten years ago. When I lived with my parents there were three copies in the house, one each for me and dad and one on dvd. It has always been special to me but now that I've started playing and singing a couple of the songs from the album it has taken on a new significance.
I have been waiting for the right time to sit down and listen to it when I can give it my full attention! Well tonight was the big night. I sat hugging my Strat, foot tapping, head nodding and hairs tingling from start to finish! Simply beautiful! When it got to Old Love I turned the lights off and sat in the dark listening to it. I tell you, talk about the power of music!! I want to make music that makes people feel this good!

I had to stop by and say a few words about last night's gig at the Rose and Crown in St. Albans. I was completely blown away by the support we got. If you made it down to see us, thank you so much for coming I hope you enjoyed it as much as we did! The warm reception we got from everyone especially from the other musicians really helped put us at ease. I was in awe of my band mates who looked and sounded great, you certainly gave the hairs on the back of my neck a work out. :) I think it's fair to say we've had a taste of what it's like to be a band, and we liked it! The next gig's were already being talked about before we'd even made it back from the stage! Expect more songs from us next time, with Simon on bass of course and who knows, maybe one or two songs of our own!
Thanks again guys!
